HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMET (HSE) POLICY

Cordero gives high priority to the health and safety of its employees, clients, vendors and members of the public and the preservation of its environment through:

  • Implementing and developing a systematic HSE Management system designed to ensure compliance with the relevant world certified standards, national statutory laws and clients’ standards.
  • HSE performance reporting, monitoring and appraisal.
  • Communication, education and training of employees.
  • Ensuring our employees, partners, sub-contractors and vendors comply with our HSE policies.
  • Providing a safe and healthy working environment for employees.
  • Establishing a proper system for accident/incident reporting and investigation with the target of reducing their occurrence to zero.


NIGERIA CONTENT DEVELOPMENT (NCD) POLICY

Being a 100% owned Nigerian company, Cordero seeks to show that Nigerians have the capacity and capability for products/services delivery that meets international standards through:

  • Engaging competent Nigerians to assume managerial and supervisory positions without a bias of cultural diversity
  • Encouraging employee trainings to enhance professionalism, personnel development and technological transfer.
  • Procuring 90% of equipment and materials locally; locally sourcing for services required from subcontractors and third parties.
  • Ensuring that its equipment acquired for service delivery to clients or used for her operations are designed based on local environmental considerations so as to allow local adaptability and for inward integrated technical support which will enhance Nigerian content drive.

Asset integrity

Cordero has a good maintenance procedure to minimize equipment breakdown to ensure continuous delivery of quality service.

Cordero has an equipment replacement plan and procedure to replace equipment that have reached their scrap/residual value in order to continually deliver quality service in a safe and acceptable manner.

Training and Re-training

Cordero invests in training and re-training its personnel to ensure they have the required competence level and are updated on technological trends in the business.

Research and Development (R&D)

Cordero invests in R&D to find optimal new ways of carrying out its business.
